Published on January 15, 2020, the Simba Union Club is set to kick off the 2020 Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) series on February 8 and 9.
The Nairobi-based club had previously failed to organize its round of the 2019 season due to poor weather conditions.
However, the club has made a comeback and will host the first event of the new season, which will feature eight rounds in total.
Notably, the Equator Motor Club (EMC) of Kisumu and the East African Motor Sports Club (EAMSC) will miss out on the competition.
The next two rounds of the series will be held outside Nairobi, with the Rift Valley Motor Sports Club (RVMSC) of Nakuru staging the next event on March 14 and 15, followed by another one in Mombasa to be hosted by the Mombasa Motor Club (MMC) on April 4 and 5.
The highly anticipated Safari Rally is also set to return to the 2020 FIA World Rally Championship calendar, with the event scheduled to take place from July 1 to 19.
The rally will feature 19 competitive stages, including a spectator section at the Kasarani Stadium, with the rest of the action based around Naivasha.
