On January 14, 2020, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, made a surprise visit to the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre in Vancouver, Canada.

The centre, which provides a safe space for women and their children who have experienced violence, poverty, homelessness, and addiction, posted a photo of Meghan with its members on social media.

"Look who we had tea with today! The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, visited us today to discuss issues affecting women in the community," the centre said in a statement.

During her visit, Meghan was seen smiling and chatting with the women at the centre, wearing a cream top and black trousers.

This visit comes after Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, announced their decision to step back as senior royals, a move that has sparked a lot of discussion and speculation about their future roles within the royal family.

Prince Harry remains in the UK, where he is expected to host a draw for the Rugby League World Cup, while Meghan and their eight-month-old son, Archie, have been living in Canada since the new year.
