January 15, 2020, marked a significant day for the Kenyan entertainment industry as Karishizzo, a talented actor and YouTube personality, announced plans to launch a family reality show.

Before changing his name to Karishizzo, the father of one was best known as Shaniqwa, a name that still resonates with fans who have been following his journey.

Speaking to Mpasho, Karishizzo shared his vision for the reality show, which aims to connect with ordinary Kenyans and showcase the challenges they face in their daily lives.

'I want to have a reality show that connects with mwananchi wa kawaida, shot in the ghetto or the local places I go to,' Karishizzo said.

He emphasized the need to move away from the typical 'posh' reality shows that focus on the lives of the wealthy and famous, and instead, showcase the struggles of ordinary people.

'Tuweke uceleb kando, si ni watu wa kawaida. We have so much stress and people have no money,' Karishizzo explained.

Currently, Nairobi Diaries and 'Bahati Reality' are the only reality shows in Kenya, with Nairobi Diaries focusing on the lives of Pendo, Mishi Dora, Bridget Achieng, among others, and 'Bahati Reality' showcasing the everyday life of gospel artist Bahati, his wife Diana Marua, and their three kids.

With Karishizzo's new reality show, fans can expect a fresh and unique perspective on life in Kenya, one that highlights the struggles and triumphs of ordinary people.
