On January 2, 2020, Fairhet Mosinya Mokaya, a 16-year-old from South B, Nairobi, tragically lost her life after being heartbroken by her boyfriend's infidelity.

According to her father, Obed Mokaya, a taxi driver in Nairobi, Fairhet had returned from a Seventh Day Adventist Church mission in Tanzania just four days prior to her death.

"It is really tragic to lose a child. She died in my hands as we were rushing her to hospital. This was not the way my daughter could have died," Mokaya said in an emotional Facebook post.

Investigations revealed that Fairhet had been cyberbullied by her boyfriend, who had posted a photo of his new lover on WhatsApp, leading to a series of disturbing messages between the two.

"In one of her notebooks, the girl left behind a message saying that the December holiday was not one of the best," Mokaya said, adding that his daughter had looked depressed after returning from Tanzania but had kept her struggles to herself.

Despite the tragic loss, Mokaya has chosen not to take action against the suspect, leaving everything to God.
