On January 28, 2020, Wanjiku Mburu, a former Machachari actress and popularly known as Mama Baha, will embark on a walk from Nairobi West to State House in a bid to catch the President's attention.
Her walk is a follow-up to her earlier visit to the President, where she sought help in finding her brother, Georgie, who was kidnapped in 2013.
According to her social media post, January 28 is not only her birthday but also the day she will be walking for her brother. She is calling on the public to join her in the walk, saying 'together we will walk far.'
Wanjiku Mburu's decision to stage the walk comes weeks after she posted a video highlighting the government's futile attempt to bring back her brother, who is reportedly being held hostage in Mogadishu.
She had written a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 12, 2017, expressing her frustration with the government's inaction in bringing back her brother. In the letter, she stated that despite her efforts, the government had failed to take any concrete action to bring back her brother.
