On January 14, 2020, Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson and Lyon star Lucy Bronze were named England's players of the year for 2019.
According to the England Football Association, Henderson won the men's award, beating out Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane for the top spot.
Meanwhile, Bronze took home the women's award, with 2018 winner Ellen White coming in second and Beth Mead in third.
This is Bronze's second time claiming the England honour, having previously won it in 2015.
Both Henderson and Bronze have had impressive years, with Henderson helping Liverpool win the Champions League, European Super Cup, and club World Cup, and Bronze leading the Lionesses to the SheBelieves Cup and World Cup semi-finals.
