As we embark on a new year, many of us have set goals and resolutions to achieve by the end of 2020. While some people successfully adhere to their objectives, others struggle to fulfill their plans. One crucial aspect to consider in our pursuit of success is the company we keep, particularly those who claim to be our friends.
These individuals often appear only when they need something from us, whether it's a favor, financial assistance, or social media endorsements. They rarely reach out to us during happy times, but suddenly become interested when we're facing challenges or difficulties.
On social media, they may not engage with our content, but expect us to promote their pages and businesses. This behavior is not only draining but also toxic, as it can lead to feelings of resentment and frustration.
It's essential to recognize these fake friends and eliminate them from our lives. By doing so, we can conserve our energy, reduce stress, and surround ourselves with people who genuinely care about us.
As the author notes, 'These are people out to suck every life out of you and leave you dry. They are of no value to your existence.'
