Published on January 14, 2020, Lulu Hassan and her husband Rashid Abdalla are one of the few couples who work together publicly on the same seat.

As a mother of three, Lulu revealed that while working with her loved one can be fun, the expectations from their viewers are high. In an interview with Millard Ayo, she stated that many fans watch the news on Citizen TV not to follow the content but to see how the couple behaves on camera.

According to Lulu, one of the toughest challenges they face is when they have to present sad news back to back. This can make it difficult for them to smile, leading fans and viewers to believe that they are unhappy with each other due to domestic issues.

Despite these challenges, Lulu and Rashid have drawn a clear line between their work and marital life. They have managed to separate their personal problems from their professional life, making their on-camera interactions a highlight for their fans.

”First off all congratulations for asking that question, no one has ever asked. There are challenges. For instance, most people would watch news with a third eye. Some will watch to find out if we fought at home or we are good.” Lulu said.

”There are times we would be presenting sad news back to back, then you can not smile, but to fans and viewers, they think we are not happy with each other due to our domestic issue, which is not the case,” she added.
