President Uhuru Kenyatta has made significant changes in the Sports Ministry, effective immediately. The changes were announced on Tuesday as part of a broader Cabinet reshuffle.
According to the reshuffle, Amb. Kirimi Kaberia has been moved to the Ministry of Mining, taking on a similar position. He replaces Amb. Kirimi Kaberia, who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Mining.
Joe Okudo has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary of Sports, moving from the Tourism ministry where he held a similar position. Okudo is not new to the Kencom House, having previously served as Principal Secretary for Culture under the Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario.
These changes are part of a broader Cabinet reshuffle announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday. The reshuffle also saw the appointment of Peter Munya as the new Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, replacing Mwangi Kiunjuri. Henry Rotich has been replaced as the National Treasury boss by Ukur Yattani, who has been confirmed as the new Cabinet Secretary.
