It's been years since the untimely passing of Janet Kanini, a 38-year-old TV presenter who succumbed to lung cancer on April 1, 2015.
Her family, particularly her husband George Ikua and their two kids, have been sharing moving stories about her life before and after her death, leaving many in tears.
On what would have been her birthday, Ikua penned a heartfelt letter to his late wife, which read:
Happy Birthday Janee! From us all ….’tis with fond memories and smiles that we relive your memories….that you swung by this blue rock and chose our lives to walk in…keep dancing with the angels…. kids only asked whether this now means there will be cake? You are truly warmly and fondly remembered.
As Kenyans sent sweet birthday messages to Janet, Ikua's letter served as a poignant reminder of the impact she had on their lives.
