On October 24, 2015, Brussels Airlines ceased its flights to Nairobi, marking a significant change in the airline's operations.

According to a statement by country manager Pierre Declerck, the decision was made due to a new strategy within the Lufthansa Group.

Although the airline has stopped direct flights to Nairobi, passengers can still travel between Brussels and Nairobi with Lufthansa Group partners SWISS and Lufthansa, via Zurich and Frankfurt respectively.
