Wazito FC, currently 14th in the Kenyan Premier League with 11 points from 17 matches, has seen a string of coaching changes fail to yield desired results.
Despite parting ways with former Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi and his assistant Fred Ambani, and appointing former Mt Kenya United tactician Melis Medo, the team has won just twice in their last 13 matches.
Former Ingwe coach Stewart Hall was brought in, with Frank Ouna returning as an assistant coach, but the duo has now been sacked following a 2-0 loss to AFC Leopards on Sunday in Machakos.
According to a reliable source, team manager Bramwel Makotsi's premature announcement of the signing of AFC Leopards midfielder Whyvonne Isuza has led to a compensation demand from Ingwe, further exacerbating the club's infighting and politics.
“Makotsi had issues with the office but that culminated with the pre-mature announcement of the signing of AFC Leopards midfielder Whyvonne Isuza that has now cost the club with Ingwe now demanding compensation,” a reliable source at the club told Nairobi News on January 13, 2020.
