January 13, 2020 - Tanasha Donna has spoken out about the difficulties she encountered in 2019, particularly in her high-profile relationship with Diamond Platnumz.
As a private person, Tanasha found herself under intense scrutiny, with fans and the public at large judging her for her relationship with the Tanzanian musician.
"I'm at a stage in life where I'm transitioning really fast, and so many things are happening simultaneously," Tanasha said in an interview. "There's so much pressure I'm undergoing at the moment. You know 2019 was a good year for me but a very tough year. A lot of negativity, a lot of judgment, a lot of hate."
Tanasha went on to explain that she was used to being a private person, but her relationship with Diamond forced her to deal with constant media attention and public opinion.
"People were not used to the fact that I'm a private person," she said. "I'm a public figure who enjoys her personal privacy and her personal life. I'd rather have my craft and my talent be the clout, be the kiki like they call it, but my personal life, my family, my mother, my cousins, my son, my personal business is my personal business."
Despite the challenges she faced, Tanasha has continued to focus on her music and has recently released a new single, "La Vie," featuring Mbosso.
She has also announced plans to release her EP on January 31.
