On January 13, 2020, Bernard Mwalala, a former Kenyan international, stepped down as the head coach of Bandari FC.
The decision came after the team's 2-1 defeat to Tusker FC at Mbaraki Stadium, marking the last match Mwalala would oversee for the club.
Mwalala had been in charge of Bandari for two and a half seasons, taking up the role in July 2018.
Former Harambee Stars coach Twahir Muhiddin will now take charge of the team on an interim basis.
