Former President Daniel Moi, 95, has been hospitalized at the Nairobi Hospital, where he is receiving life support due to age-related conditions and other health issues.
According to reports, Moi has been in and out of the hospital, suffering from a pleural effusion, knee pain, and other age-related conditions.
Life support is a therapy or device designed to preserve someone's life when an essential bodily system is not functioning properly. It may involve enteric feeding, mechanical ventilation, or other interventions.
Most patients are either put on or off life support depending on the family's decision, which can be a difficult and emotional process.
As reported in October last year, Moi was hospitalized at the Nairobi Hospital and discharged before being readmitted. Since then, his health has not been stable.
