Janet Oyuga's family is still waiting to bury her after she was shot dead by an elderly woman in Seattle, USA, on January 12, 2020. The family had raised funds to fly her remains home, but they are still struggling to get a flight.

Janet and her sister Angela were attacked by Beverly Jenne, who had sold her home to the sisters. Angela survived but is nursing injuries at a hospital. Jenne has been charged with second-degree murder and assault.

Janet's sister, Sophie Oyuga, confirmed that they are still working on logistics to get the body flown to Kenya. 'They are still working on some logistics. They have not been able to get a flight,' Sophie said.

Janet's mother, Sarah Oyuga, expressed her hope to bury her daughter as soon as possible. 'We cannot tell when the body will be flown here for burial, since it missed coming this week,' Mrs. Oyuga said.

Janet succumbed to gunshot wounds, and Angela survived the ordeal after being rushed to hospital. A requiem mass was held in Seattle, and another will be held in Kenya when the body arrives.
