On January 12, 2020, Nzoia Sugar made a significant move in the Kenyan Premier League by signing 23-year-old striker Masoud Juma from Division One side Mwatate United.

Contrary to popular belief, this Masoud Juma is not the Kenyan international who previously played for Kariobangi Sharks.

According to Nzoia Sugar team manager Evans Kadenge, the new signing looks up to his famous namesake, Kenyan international Masoud Juma, who now plays for Algerian giants JS Kabylie.

"He is a good striker, and Kenyans should be ready to watch another top striker from Nzoia," Kadenge told Nairobi News.

With this signing, Nzoia Sugar has strengthened their team, which also includes Elisha Wekesa, Daniel Wafula, and John Wafula, all of whom are expected to feature in the team's match against Sofapaka in Machakos on the same day.
