'Doreen Moraa's HIV Journey: A Story of Resilience and Hope'

On January 12, 2020, Doreen Moraa, a brave Kenyan lady living with HIV/AIDS, took to social media to create awareness about HIV and share her life journey.

At just eight years old, Doreen was diagnosed with HIV and had to battle a herpes zoster infection, which even led to temporary loss of eyesight.

"Allow me to take you back to the year 1998, the year 8-year-old me was diagnosed with HIV….. The same year I was struggling with a herpes zoster infection I even lost my eyesight for a while? On this day I had just left KNH with my parents given very little hope to wait for my 12th birthday which would mean I could get to live a normal life with HIV?" - Doreen Moraa

Despite the challenges, Doreen has become a fighter, using her story to inspire others and spread hope. Her followers have been reacting to her post, with many praising her courage and determination.
