January 12, 2020, marked a day when Kiharu Member of Parliament Hon Ndindi Nyoro made a series of explosive claims against ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Nyoro alleged that Raila had bewitched President Uhuru Kenyatta, leading to the country's current state of chaos.
He further suggested that Raila should be hanged for high treason.
'All the madness that you see around are as a result of Raila bewitching the President and kidnapping him, Kenya is going back to the KANU days,' an angry Nyoro ranted.
Nyoro's claims come at a time when the opposition leader has been at the receiving end of the government's high-handedness.
He had previously been involved in a church altercation with nominated MP Maina Kamanada at a church service.
On Friday morning, Hon Moses Kuria from the Tanga Tanga brigade also had his day with the police after a dramatic arrest and a refusal by the police to release him despite a court order.
Then followed the teargassing of Ruto-allied MPs who had gone to seek Moses Kuria's release and their heartfelt press conferences that followed.
These incidents, Nyoro blames on ODM leader Raila Odinga who he says has bewitched the President.
'The handshake came with witchcraft and our good president is under a spell. How can he let us suffer like this?' Nyoro wondered.
It is worth noting that Nyoro has a history of making controversial statements, including calling for the abolishment of democracy in 2017.
He suggested that the President ought to be a dictator for the good of the country.
