From Stage to Struggle: The Turbulent Life of Rose Muhando ¶
January 1, 2020, was a day to remember for gospel artist Rose Muhando as she electrified the stage at the Pamoja concert in Nakuru. Her performance was described as spine-tingling and highly charged, leaving fans in awe.
However, behind the scenes, Muhando was battling stress, depression, and spiritual turmoil. In a candid interview, she revealed the roughest time in her spiritual journey, which left her questioning her faith.
"I have battled stress and depression. I have faced the roughest time in my spiritual journey, faced insecurity but I am well now," she said.
Her confession hints at the struggles she has faced in her personal life, including allegations of drug use, hospitalization after a snake attack, and being entangled in fraud cases. Muhando denied the allegations, attributing them to a false narrative spread by her former manager.
Despite the challenges, Muhando remains a powerful voice in East African gospel music. Her songs, such as "Mteule Uwe Macho," "Yesu Nibebe," and "Yesu Nakupenda," continue to inspire her fans.
When asked about her inspiration, Muhando revealed that she draws her inspiration from the late Michael Jackson, citing his ability to bring people together through music. She also credits her everyday challenges as a source of inspiration, singing every song to praise God for holding her hand in her music career.
Currently, Muhando is nurturing upcoming artists, including Stewart Davidson, who credits her as a mother figure in the music industry.
