As of Saturday afternoon, over 280,000 customers were without power across the south, with the National Weather Service issuing warnings for severe thunderstorms, high winds, and winter storms in several states.
Residents from Western New York to Cleveland were advised to expect gusts up to 60 m.p.h. into early Sunday morning, while some regions experienced unseasonably warm temperatures despite the severe weather forecast.
