Published on August 31, 2019, Huawei took the stage at its developer conference to unveil the latest version of its Android overlay, Emotion UI (EMUI) 10.

EMUI 10 introduces several new features and improvements to its predecessor, EMUI 9.1, which has been rolling out to Huawei's existing device lineup over the last few months.

The new operating system is designed to bring many of the features of Android Q to Huawei devices, including a system-wide dark mode and a coloured Always-On display.

EMUI 10 also allows for deeper integration with Huawei's ecosystem, enabling users to make full high-definition video calls and connect to other Huawei devices such as smart speakers or home camera systems.

The operating system will also interface with HiCar, Huawei's Android Auto alternative, to allow users to plug in their smartphones while in their cars and use the same interface on their infotainment systems for entertainment and navigation.

EMUI 10 will be available on the P30 series starting September 8th, with beta builds available for the P30 and P30 Pro in early September.
