Published on January 11, 2020, Raila Odinga, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, has expressed his confidence in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to transform Kenya and improve the lives of its citizens.
Speaking during the burial of former Siaya County Council chairman Cllr. Elisha Ojwang' Orodo at Usenge village in Bondo constituency, Raila emphasized the need for a revolution that will provide Kenyans with adequate living standards, unity, and peace.
He lamented the prolonged suffering of Kenyans under the yoke of poverty and other challenges affecting their social lives, stating that the country has been independent for 56 years but its people still face the same problems.
According to Raila, apart from transforming Kenya, the BBI is also focused on increasing the number of middle-class members.
He added that after the countrywide BBI meetings, which kicked off in Kisii this week, they will continue cascading information to the grassroots to ensure all Kenyans understand the document properly ahead of the much-anticipated referendum.
