Babu Owino vs Esther Passaris: Twitter Battle Escalates ¶
January 11, 2020, marked the beginning of a heated Twitter battle between Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris.
Passaris slammed Owino after he threatened to 'shave' his Kandara counterpart Alice Wahome, sparking a fierce exchange between the two.
Passaris asked Owino to respect women and reminded him that the act of shaving a fellow legislator would be classified as defilement.
In response, Owino told Passaris that he does not intend to further their heated conversation since, according to him, she is 'in that time of the month' and 'he won't engage hormones.'
Passaris' tweet quickly attracted reactions from Kenyans, with many expressing their shock and disbelief at the speed at which things escalated between the two party-mates.
