January 11, 2020, marked the beginning of a heated online exchange between Kenyan singers Naiboi and Avril, with media personality Jalang'o caught in the middle.
Naiboi sparked the controversy by publicly stating he didn't want to work with Avril, prompting a response from Avril in an interview with Jalang'o on Milele FM.
During the interview, Avril explained the origin of the beef and her decision not to participate in the '2 in 1' video.
Interestingly, Jalang'o revealed that he had recorded the '2 in 1' video but his part wasn't used, and he had informed Naiboi about it.
Naiboi responded to the interview with a post, writing, 'So it's officially world war 3??? Well let the games begin. #2020siomwakawamakasirikio.'
Jalang'o was quick to respond, advising Naiboi to stop beefing with women and instead target industry heavyweights like Nyashinski.
'Peleka ukooooo…..unaaza beef na wanawake na maboy wako! Imagine ati uko na beef na Avril? Really? Level yako ni beef na Akina Nyash na Sautisol…hata hauna aibu! Tumbaaff,' Jalang'o wrote.
