Published on January 10, 2020, Harambee Starlets duo Annedy Kundu and Ruth Ingosi have left Kenya to join Cyprus club Lakatamia FC.
The two players signed three-year deals with the club based in Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus.
Eldoret Falcons coach Joshua Ariko praised the duo, saying, "I am very excited about this development because these are two of my best players and they played a great role in some of the biggest competitions that we featured in last year while playing for both the club and the national team. They are both disciplined, hardworking and take women football in and off the pitch very seriously."
Ingosi and Kundu were part of the Harambee Starlets team that won the Council of East and Central Africa (Cecafa) Women's Senior Challenge Cup in 2019, outclassing Tanzania at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Ingosi's teammate, Annedy Kundu, was awarded the Golden glove for not conceding a goal throughout the competition.
Before joining Lakatamia FC, Ingosi and Kundu played for Eldoret Falcons in the Women Premier League, where they finished 10th with 23 points from six wins, five draws, and 15 losses.
