On August 12, 2019, Anjlee Gadhvi shared a video on Twitter that gave a glimpse into her life before her untimely passing.
The K24 news anchor had been diagnosed with liver cancer in 2013, but went public about it in 2015 after funds raised by family and friends got drained.
After she appealed for public help, Kenyans donated over Ksh. 6 million in hours.
However, it was a video from 2019 that showed Anjlee explaining her cancer treatment to her 5-year-old daughter, leaving many in tears.
Her daughter was distraught with the news of being away from her mother, but Anjlee insisted that she had to go for treatment.
Her daughter even suggested that she seek treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, but Anjlee had to decline and explain why in a loving way.
