Published on January 10, 2020, Xiaomi confirmed that its Mi 10 series would be one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform.

The series, comprising the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, is expected to launch in quarter one 2020. Speculations suggest that the devices will be an evolution of the Mi 9 model.

According to leaked specs, the Mi 10 series will feature a 6.57-inch display and a 90Hz refresh rate. However, there is also speculation that the Mi 10 Pro might come with a 120Hz display to differentiate it from the standard Mi 10.

The Mi 10 series will support the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 platform, which was launched earlier in the Tech Summit. Xiaomi has a long history of using Snapdragon 8 series hardware, and the Mi 10 series will be no exception.

Leaked specs also suggest that the Mi 10 will start at 8GB of RAM, while the Mi 10 Pro will have 12GB of RAM. The devices will also have different storage options, with the Mi 10 offering 128GB and 256GB options, and the Mi 10 Pro offering 512GB storage.

Both phones will have a 4500mAh battery, with the Mi 10 supporting 40W wired and 30W wireless charging, and the Mi 10 Pro supporting 66W wired and 40W wireless superfast charging.

There are also speculations that the Mi 10 series might use the same camera system as the Redmi K30 and Mi Note 10, which feature a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor and a 108-megapixel system, respectively.

Leaked prices suggest that the Mi 10 will be priced in the RMB3000 range, approximately £330, while the Mi 10 Pro will start at RMB3799, which is around £410.
