On January 10, 2020, the journalism community lost a talented and courageous reporter, Anjlee Gadhvi, who had been battling liver cancer since 2016.
Despite her initial victory over the disease in 2016, Anjlee's cancer had returned, and she passed away on Friday, October 1, 2020.
Throughout her journey, Anjlee remained vocal about her experiences, sharing her story with the public in an effort to inspire and encourage others.
Just weeks before her passing, Anjlee had expressed her enthusiasm for a healthy 2020, posting on social media, 'Looking forward to. A new dawn. A healthy 2020. Sun sea sand??? happy spaces.'
Her determination and resilience in the face of adversity had touched the hearts of many, and her passing has left a void in the journalism community.
As she had shared in a previous post, 'This has been my spot for the last 7 weeks. 30 sessions, of 45 minutes each has been some tough life exams. Being strapped in a single position with my arms stretched above my head has made this body sore… Unpleasant side effects resulted in an inflamed throat, a tedious process of being unable to swallow or eat without pain.'
Below are some photos of Anjlee Gadhvi.
