Ken Obimbo: A History of Financial Malfeasance ¶
January 10, 2020
Ken Obimbo, Managing Director of Rafiki Microfinance, has a history of involvement in financial malfeasance. His tenure as Chief Financial Officer of Chase Group, a subsidiary of the equally decadent Chase Bank, is a prime example of this.
Chase Bank imploded due to insider lending fraud and cooking of financial statements, and Obimbo was at the heart of it all. Despite this, he continues to serve as Managing Director of Rafiki Microfinance.
Obimbo's past is riddled with controversy. He was sacked from Coca-Cola and went on to serve as Managing Director of Kenya Bus Service, which was run down by graft before joining Chase.
It is alarming that the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) is allowing such a filth to continue operating in the banking sector. Why are naive Kenyans still putting their money at Rafiki Microfinance?
