Police Officer Charged with Defiling Minor in Kisumu ¶

A 32-year-old police officer, Stanley Kipsang, has been charged with defiling a 16-year-old Form One student in Ratta, Seme constituency, Kisumu County.
The alleged victim had spent a night out and was taken to jail as punishment by her parents. However, when they went back to the station to pick her up, she claimed that she had been defiled by Officer Kipsang.
According to the allegations, Officer Kipsang took the girl to his house and defiled her repeatedly.
Officer Kipsang appeared before Kisumu Senior Principal Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released on a Sh400,000 bond and the matter will be mentioned on February 26 and heard on March 4.
