With the right plants and a little sunlight, you can create a beautiful and thriving window sill garden.

According to experts, a window with a little direct sunlight is ideal for delicate herbs and succulents. However, if you're lucky enough to have a window that receives four or more hours of sunshine daily, the possibilities are endless.

One strategy for a successful window sill garden is to choose quick-maturing plants that will start producing results before they outgrow their space. Many foliage plants and compact varieties of fruiting and flowering plants can thrive on a window sill.

So why not get creative and try out colourful pots or ones with interesting shapes? The idea is to create an interesting composition even before plants are introduced.
