Prince Harry, the second son of Prince Charles, has long been aware that he would not succeed his father as king. At 71, he is now a formidable figure in his own right, with a life of public service and philanthropy behind him.

After serving in the British Army for 10 years, including two tours in Afghanistan, Harry founded the Invictus Games to support injured and impaired members and veterans of the armed services.

His marriage to Meghan Markle, an American actress, in 2018, was a significant departure from his previous relationships with young aristocratic women from his own social circle.

As the couple navigated their new life together, they faced intense scrutiny from the British tabloids, who wrote about Meghan's past marriage and divorce, as well as her parents' divorce and her half-siblings.

Prince Harry publicly condemned the 'wave of abuse and harassment' and 'racial undertones of comment pieces' that Meghan had faced, making a pointed statement while they were still dating.
