On January 9, 2020, a 16-year-old boy with disabilities tragically lost his life in Naivasha after a piece of cloth on his wheelchair caused him to suffocate.

The incident occurred in Kinamba estate along the Naivasha-Kirima road while the boy's parents were working in a nearby farm.

According to Amos Mbuthia, an elder in the village, the boy's parents discovered his lifeless body and immediately reported the incident to the police station.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru stated that a post-mortem examination would be necessary to determine the cause of death, and an inquest file had been opened.

Waweru emphasized that the investigation would not take any chances and would wait for the post-mortem report before proceeding with the next course of action.
