On January 9, 2020, Zari Hassan took to her Instagram page to address critics who have been questioning the source of her wealth.
Following reports that she had inherited her late husband Ivan Don's properties despite their divorce, Zari fired back at her detractors, stating that she and Ivan worked hard to build their wealth.
She shared a never-before-seen photo from 2010, accompanied by a caption that read:
When they call it inheritance I say we started from the bottom. Y'all know us from 2010 not before. Get your facts right. We hustled all the way up. Get your inheritance too, it should be easy right?
With this post, Zari aimed to prove that she and Ivan were not born with wealth, but rather worked hard to achieve their success.
