On January 8, 2020, a disturbing incident occurred in Isinya location, Kajiado, where a man allegedly raped a dog and later strangled it to death.
Boniface Munyao, the suspect, was arrested and arraigned before a Kagundo court hours after the incident.
He was charged with two counts: killing an animal and committing an unnatural act with a dog.
According to the charge sheet, Munyao allegedly killed the dog by strangling it with a rope at around 11:00 am on January 8, 2020, at Isinya location, Kagundo sub-county, Machakos county.
The second charge was having unnatural relations with animals, contrary to section 162 (b) of the penal code.
Munyao denied the charges and was released on a Sh 100,000 bond and a surety of the same amount. The case will be mentioned on January 22.
