January 9, 2020, marked another day of drama in the Miguna Miguna deportation saga, with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria claiming that ODM leader Raila Odinga is behind the woes facing the lawyer.

Speaking at a press conference at Parliament Buildings on Wednesday, Kuria alleged that he has intelligence on how Baba is frustrating Miguna's efforts to return home.

However, Kuria's claim is not new, as blogger Robert Alai has previously made similar allegations on social media. Alai claimed that Raila had stated that Miguna will only be allowed into the country when dead.

Miguna, on the other hand, has dragged Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta to his deportation drama, accusing them of issuing the red alert that has prevented him from boarding a flight to Kenya.

Interestingly, Kuria and Miguna share a common background, having both attended the University of Nairobi, where they were elected treasurers of the Student Council in different regimes.

Despite their differences, Kuria's claim raises questions about the motivations behind Miguna's deportation. Miguna has written two books berating Raila, including one that questioned the paternity of Raila's children on social media.

During an interview on Citizen TV, Miguna reiterated his claim that Raila was bribed to join the government, stating, 'Raila Odinga is now singing Hosana to Uhuru Kenyatta whom he had accused of stealing the election and vowed to remove from power, he was bought… and I cannot be bought.'

Responding to Miguna's claims, Raila's alleged role in his deportation has been a subject of debate. Miguna has urged Kenyans to acknowledge the obvious fact that Uhuru Kenyatta, urged on by Raila Odinga, is violating his rights and preventing him from entering Kenya in defiance of numerous court orders.
