Miguna Miguna Schools Cyrus Oguna on Live TV ¶
On January 8, 2020, Miguna Miguna, a Kenyan lawyer and self-proclaimed NRM General, appeared on the JKLive Show to address the conditions for his return to Kenya.
During the show, Cyrus Oguna, the government spokesperson, claimed that Miguna had been declared unruly by the Kenyan Government and was a threat to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Category A1 status.
However, Miguna disputed this claim, stating that he was dragged from his house in the middle of the night, taken to three different courts in Nairobi before being forcefully bundled at the airport and deported.
He also pointed out that the government disobeyed several court orders asking for him to appear before it.
When Oguna suggested that Miguna should apply for a passport in a Kenyan embassy abroad, Miguna responded that he should be issued with a valid Kenyan passport, which was seized by the state, as per a court order.
Miguna further alleged that asking him to go to a Kenyan embassy abroad could be a plot to murder him, just like Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in a Saudi Embassy in Turkey.
