Kenyan government officials have denied any involvement in the recent incident where lawyer Miguna Miguna was barred from boarding his flight to Kenya.

According to government spokesman Cyrus Oguna, Miguna's unruly behavior during his deportation in 2018 led to him being categorized as an unruly passenger.

As a result, the International Civil Aviation Organisation's Annex 17 guidelines were invoked, allowing the prohibition of unruly passengers.

Oguna stated that Miguna is free to enter Kenya once he obtains a valid passport, but noted that the lawyer has not made any effort to visit a Kenyan mission to obtain one.

Despite the court ruling in his favor, Oguna emphasized that a passenger must have valid travel documents to enter the country.

It remains puzzling why Miguna, who has caused significant drama over his flight, has not made an effort to obtain his passport from any of the missions.
