January 8, 2020, marked a significant milestone for Microsoft in Kenya as the company appointed Kendi Ntwiga Nderitu as its new Country Manager.
With over 15 years of experience in the IT and business industry, Kendi Ntwiga Nderitu is a highly disciplined and driven leader who has made a name for herself in the technology sector.
"I am excited to join Microsoft at a time when digitisation is seen as a key driver of progress and transformation in Africa," she said. "Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and organisation on the planet to achieve more and I feel privileged to be the custodian of that mission in Kenya."
As Country Manager, Kendi Ntwiga Nderitu will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships across Microsoft’s subsidiaries, regional sales and marketing departments, and creating strategies to increase the company’s share of voice in the Kenyan market.
With a background in leading and implementing business strategies across sub-Saharan Africa, Kendi Ntwiga Nderitu has held various roles at Oracle, HP, and Intel, where she was tasked with driving business growth and expansion.
She is also the founder of She-Goes-Tech, an initiative aimed at mentoring young girls and women who are pursuing STEM careers, and has led gender inclusion discussions across different forums, including the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
