On January 8, 2020, Little Shuttle Services announced a temporary suspension of its services, effective immediately. This move comes after the company halted its operations in October 2019 due to a directive from transport authorities.

The regulator had deemed that Little Shuttle did not have the proper license to operate point-to-point shuttle services. However, the company was able to resume operations in late October 2019, under new terms, including the use of 7-seater vehicles instead of buses and 14-seater matatus.

Little Shuttle's decision to suspend its services is not an isolated incident. Other players in the ride-hailing space, such as SWVL, have also faced similar demands from the Transport Authority, leading to the suspension of operations in select routes.

According to a tweet from Little Shuttle, the company apologizes for the inconvenience and promises to return with a 'bang very soon.' The exact reason for the temporary suspension is unclear, but it is evident that regulatory issues continue to plague the company.
