Harmonize's Mombasa Concert Cancellation: Jalang'o Reveals the Truth ¶
On January 8, 2020, Jalang'o shed light on the reasons behind Harmonize's cancellation of his Mombasa concert, which was scheduled to take place on January 31, 2020.
According to Jalang'o, Harmonize's manager deducted a significant amount of money from the singer's performance fee to repair a damaged Range Rover. The Range Rover had been damaged by Harmonize's fans, who were fighting to grab the money he was dishing out.
Chris the Bass, another Emcee at the event, also shared his account of the incident, stating that Harmonize had been giving out money to his fans, starting with Tanzanian shillings, which Kenyan fans found inadequate. He then switched to Kenyan shillings, but the fans continued to demand more, eventually asking for dollars.
Harmonize's manager allegedly deducted Sh200,000 from his performance fee, leaving him with a balance of Sh800,000. The promoter then asked Harmonize to return the money, citing that the event was about to start, and they needed to settle their accounts.
