Published on January 8, 2020, Jua Cali stunned fans on Tonight Live with Dr. Ofwekene by sharing the story of how he met his wife, Lilly Asigo.
From Campus Concert to Marriage ¶
While performing at a campus event, Jua Cali noticed a lady singing along to his songs, word for word. The lady, Lilly Asigo, was not supposed to be at the show, but she had called a friend who was in the college, and she followed her to the event.
‘She was not supposed to be at the show ‘cause it was a college fresher’s night. A friend was in the college, so she called her. So she came. As I was performing, I am looking, kwa corner, I see a lady with a black dress. Anaimba everything – she was literally singing everything.’
After the concert, Lilly Asigo followed Jua Cali backstage for a quick photo, and the rest, as they say, is history. The couple started a family together and have shared several heartwarming moments with their fans.
