Published on January 8, 2020, Huddah Monroe has made a significant shift in her life, choosing to be open about her past relationships and her journey to independence.

Monroe's decision to speak out comes after years of traveling the world and dating wealthy older men, a path she has now chosen to leave behind.

She has since built a thriving cosmetics business and is now running seven successful ventures, a testament to her hard work and determination.

When asked about her decision to pursue independence, Monroe shared her honest thoughts:

"I want to make one thing clear: I am not where I want to be in life, but thank God I am not where I used to be," she said. "For me to take the decision that I want to be independent and have seven businesses that I am running is because I was sick and tired of dating and fucking all these old rich men. Being with them was so disrespectful, the way they treated me was so bad," she added. "Now I look back and I know just because you are wealthy and I didn’t have shit. Now even flying me to a city is gonna take a lot of energy to wake up of my room to go and see a guy," she said. "By the end of the day, being independent gives you so much power. Don’t be fooled that ooooh you won’t get a husband or you won’t get this. You will get whatever you want in life as long as you put your mind to it. And I encourage that to every woman," she concluded.

Monroe's message of empowerment and independence is one that resonates with many women, and her journey serves as a reminder that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
