Kenyan Premier League leaders Gor Mahia have a two-match advantage over Tusker FC, but the breweries are determined to dethrone them. Coach Robert Matano believes his team has the potential to overthrow Gor Mahia if they maintain pressure and consistency.

Matano's team has been unbeaten in nine consecutive matches, earning 31 points and sitting second in the table. They will face struggling Kisumu All-Stars on December 11, 2019, at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Matano expressed confidence in his team's ability to deal with increased expectations, saying, 'Our main focus remains on maintaining pressure against defending champions Gor Mahia, who have been dominant in such situations. We have to be consistent because they have two matches to play and if we can keep winning, then we will be in a good position to dethrone them, should they slip.'

However, Kisumu All-Stars interim coach Arthur Opiyo is optimistic about his team's chances, saying, 'Tusker is a very strong side especially when playing at home but we are confident that if we execute everything as we have been doing in our training sessions, then we can stop them.'

On December 11, 2019, Tusker FC forward Eric Ambunya celebrated with teammate George Odhiambo after scoring against Wazito fc during their Kenyan Premier league match at Kenyatta stadium in Machakos.
