Kenyan-Canadian lawyer Miguna Miguna's travel plans hit a snag on January 7, 2020, when he was ejected from an Air France flight at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris, France.

According to Miguna, the flight, AF0814, was about to take off for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, when he was removed from the plane.

Miguna took to Twitter to express his frustration, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga of being behind the red alert that barred him from traveling to Kenya.

“Air France removed me from Flight AF0814 from Charles De Gaulle Airport to JKIA, which was about to take off. Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and Conman Raila Odinga are so afraid, cowardly, tyrannical and weak that they have sent RED ALERTS to all airlines. We shall never surrender!” he wrote.

Despite being ejected from the flight, Miguna remained defiant, stating that he would not surrender.
