After months of anticipation, Kenyan-born lawyer Miguna Miguna has finally boarded a plane to Nairobi, Kenya. He took to his Twitter account to announce his achievement, stating that his homebound plane would be touching down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 9:45 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
"A Kenyan by BIRTH and RIGHT. Kenyans are not slaves. Freedom must come through the fearless pursuit of truth and justice," he wrote, as he expressed his excitement to return home.
His Twitter post, which has been widely shared, reads: "HOMEBOUND. Unbowed! Dynamic. Resourceful. Arrival: JKIA, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. A Kenyan by BIRTH and RIGHT. Kenyans are not slaves. Freedom must come through the fearless the pursuit of truth and justice."
