Three journalists, including NTV Uganda's Arnold Sseremba, were arrested while covering the skirmishes, according to their respective media houses.
NTV Uganda driver Egesa Moses was injured in the melee, suffering a left-hand injury after being hit by a teargas canister.
Tragically, an infant is feared dead in the scuffle, adding to the chaos and concern in the city.
