On the eve of CES 2020, TCL unveiled its first 5G smartphones under the TCL 10 series brand name. The series consists of three devices: the TCL 10 5G, the 10 Professional (10 Pro), and the 10L.
The TCL 10 series smartphones will feature quad-rear cameras, with the Pro model boasting an AMOLED display. The devices will launch in the US and Canada in Q2 2020, with a starting price of under $500.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7-Series chipsets, the TCL 10 series smartphones optimize AI, power, and performance. The devices also feature punch-hole displays, reflective glass, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanners.
The TCL 10 Pro, a flagship device, boasts a 6.5-inch edge AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. It features four rear cameras, including a 64MP primary sensor and a macro camera, as well as a laser focus module.
The TCL 10L, a more low-end device, features a 48MP primary sensor with a macro lens and a punch-hole display. The device is expected to compete directly with the Motorola Razr 2019, Realme X, and Oppo Reno, all of which are powered by the Qualcomm 7 series.
