Security Repels Terrorist Attack in Garissa, Kills Two

On January 7, 2020, a daring terrorist attack on a Safaricom mast in Daadab sub-county, Garissa County, was repelled by security personnel.

During the intense battle, two attackers were shot and killed, while others escaped with serious injuries.

Unfortunately, four children who were outside a nearby Administration Police Camp were hit and killed by stray bullets.

Deputy County Commissioner, Daadab Sub-county, Mr. Kibet Bowen, confirmed that an AK 47 assault rifle and two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered from the scene.

The Administrator stated that the police are currently in pursuit of the suspected attackers.
